Custom business software that fits how you actually work.

We build web apps and automation that replace manual processes, disconnected spreadsheets, and off-the-shelf tools that almost fit. Multi-user. Mobile-friendly. Built around your workflow, not the other way around.

20+ years

Building business apps for small and mid-size companies.

Clear, up-front quotes

No surprise invoices. We scope, then quote the work.

Weekly progress updates

Progress updates every week. No black boxes.

Built on a modern React/Next.js + Node + SQL Server stack on AWS

SOUND FAMILIAR?

Is this you?

Duct-taped together

Your process runs on a mix of spreadsheets, email, sticky notes, and one person's memory. Nothing talks to anything else.

Off-the-shelf almost fits

You've tried generic software, but it forces your process to bend around it instead of the other way around.

Manual busywork

Someone re-types the same data into two or three systems every day. It's slow, and mistakes creep in.

No single source of truth

Different teams see different numbers because the data lives in different tools that don't sync.

Can't scale the workaround

The process worked at 5 people. At 25, it's falling apart and nobody has time to fix it properly.

IT backlog / no dev team

You know exactly what you need built, but you don't have engineers on staff to build it.

WHAT YOU GET INSTEAD

Imagine instead…

Built around your process

Software shaped to how your team actually works — not a generic tool you have to work around.

Automated busywork

The re-typing, copy-pasting, and manual handoffs disappear — the system does it for you.

One source of truth

Every team sees the same live data, in one place, updated in real time.

Mobile-responsive

Built for phone and tablet from the start — no extra app to install.

Role-based security

Sales sees sales. Finance sees finance. Admins see everything — per-user, audit-logged.

Integrations

QuickBooks, Salesforce, Stripe, your warehouse system — talk to the tools you already use. Nothing to install.

Not off-the-shelf software

Off-the-shelf tools are built for everyone, which means they fit no one perfectly — your team ends up working around the software instead of the other way around. Custom software is built around your actual process: the fields you need, the approvals you require, the reports your team already reads. If you’re replacing spreadsheets, email chains, or a system that’s outgrown, we keep the logic and data you rely on and rebuild it as a secure, multi-user web app.

What's it costing you?

The cost of doing this by hand

Answer four quick questions to see what the manual process costs your team each year — and roughly when custom software pays for itself.

Their rough hourly cost

How often bad data / rework bites you

How it’s calculated: hours × people × 52 weeks × hourly cost, plus a rework factor.

You’re spending roughly

$58,968/year

on this manual process.

A web app in the typical range often pays for itself in about 4 months.

Estimate — real numbers depend on your setup.

How pricing works

Most software projects land in the low-to-mid five figures and typically pay for themselves within about four months. You get a fixed quote you approve up front (no surprises), billed by milestone — or monthly for ongoing work.

In their words

What clients say

The YittBox team has an incredible writer. I plan on using them for all my future scripts. They communicate well, and write a quality script on time. I would recommend them to anyone.

Andrew Schmidt

Very responsive to changes and understood what I was trying to do from the start. Had some good suggestions for changes that I had not thought of that made the program work better.

Jason Taylor

I'm thoroughly impressed with the YittBox team's development of my Portfolio. The work quality was excellent, and the experience of collaborating with them was overwhelmingly positive. Their communication was exemplary, ensuring we were always on the same page. One of the team's standout qualities was their adherence to deadlines - they consistently delivered on time, which kept our project running smoothly. Their technical proficiency in Portfolio development was evident throughout, demonstrating a solid skill set that met our project needs. I particularly appreciated the team's candor when we discussed solutions to my initial missteps. They quickly guided me towards the best outcome for the Portfolio, showcasing their ability to provide effective direction and resolution. I'd like to emphasize that this was my first time creating a Portfolio, working in Canva, and using Upwork. The only reason this process went so perfectly for me is that I had the opportunity to connect with the YittBox team. This has been an incredibly positive experience, almost unbelievably so. Given the success of this collaboration, I'm eager to work with YittBox again. Their blend of technical skills, reliability, and proactive problem-solving makes them an excellent choice for future projects.

Custom business software built around how you work

Custom business software is an application built specifically for your company’s process instead of a generic tool you bend your workflow to fit. Most teams reach for it when spreadsheets, email chains, and disconnected apps stop keeping up — data gets re-keyed between systems, only one person understands the “master file,” and simple questions take an afternoon to answer. A purpose-built web app replaces that patchwork with one secure, multi-user system your whole team can rely on.

When custom software is the right call

Off-the-shelf software is the better choice when your need is common and well-served by an existing product. Custom development earns its keep when your process is a real competitive advantage, when no single tool covers the whole workflow, or when you’re paying for per-seat licenses and workarounds to force a product to do something it wasn’t built for. We’ll tell you honestly which side of that line you’re on before you spend anything.

Workflow automation that removes the manual steps

The biggest wins usually aren’t a new screen — they’re the manual steps that disappear. Automating approvals, notifications, recurring reports, and hand-offs between people means the work moves on its own instead of waiting in someone’s inbox. We map the process you run today, find the repetitive steps a computer should own, and build them into the app so your team spends its time on judgment calls, not data entry.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked

What does it cost?

We provide a quote after we review what you need. Every project is scoped to your workflow, users, and integrations — most land in the low-to-mid five figures.

How long does it take?

Most projects ship in 6–12 weeks from scoping. The exact timeline is in your quote — no “a few more weeks.”

We don't have a spec written — can you still help?

Yes. Most clients start with a rough description of the problem, not a spec. The free system review is where we turn that into an architecture and a plan.

Do you replace an existing system, or build from scratch?

Both. If you're replacing spreadsheets, an old Access database, or a tool that no longer fits, we migrate your data and run the old system in parallel until you've verified everything. If you're starting from scratch, we build the data model and workflow with you from day one.

Will we lose data?

No. If there's an existing system, we migrate your data into the new one and run both in parallel until you've verified everything against the new one. Nothing flips until you sign off in UAT.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. Mutual NDA is standard before we look at your data or process. Send us yours or we'll send you ours.

What kind of software do you build?

Custom web apps for internal operations — order and inventory management, scheduling, CRM-style tracking, reporting dashboards, approval workflows, and automation that connects the tools you already use.

How is this different from off-the-shelf software?

Off-the-shelf software is built for everyone, which means it fits no one perfectly — you end up working around it. Custom software is built around your actual process, so your team doesn't have to change how they work to use it.

Can you automate the manual work we're doing today?

Yes — that's usually where the biggest, fastest win is. We start by mapping the manual steps (re-typing data, copy-pasting between tools, chasing approvals over email) and automate what can be automated.

What is custom business software?

Custom business software is an application built specifically for how your company works, instead of a generic product you adapt your process to. It typically replaces a patchwork of spreadsheets, email, and off-the-shelf tools with one secure, multi-user web app that fits your exact workflow — the fields, approvals, and reports your team actually uses.
